Implementation of Monitoring Instruments, Collection and Analysis of Data
The prime objective of the CDBE programme was to improve the quality of basic education for all children in Kosovo. As an integrated consulting programme it contributed adequately to the implementation of the Kosovo Education Strategic Plan (2011-2016). In total, DOTS staff has performed monitoring, test administration and data analysis for 1920 trainees that have undergone GIZ trainings.
In detail, during the three years of service providing for the CDBE program, DOTS staff has:
* Monitored training, administered knowledge post-test, analysed data and compiled report on the performance of teachers for subject Math grade 1-5, 5 and 6-9;
* Monitored training, administered knowledge post-test, analysed data and compiled report on the performance of teachers on summative assessment training;
* Monitored training, administered knowledge tests for 7 modules, evaluated the tests, analysed data and compiled report on the performance of school management existing and prospective staff, and
* Monitored training, administered questionnaires and organised in-depth interviews and focus group discussions for a group of trainees coming from the local (Municipal Directorates of Education) and central government (Ministry of Education, Science and Technology) who have passed the training on communication strategy, school management and leadership.
